The Greatest Show on Earth
While it may not be a circus (in the most traditional sense of the word), one of the top reptile shows in the world is the North American Reptile Breeders Conference (NARBC) in Tinley Park, IL.
This amazing expo has been organized and run by Bob Ashley of ECO Publishing and Brian Potter of the Chicago Reptile House. You can check out NARBC four times per year in two different cities. Tinley Park hosts NARBC every March and October. Arlington, Texas hosts it every February and September. Of these four dates, the largest and most spectacular is the October show at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
Over 175 different vendors come in from all over the country, offering an amazing variety of animals to see and choose from. Meet your favorite breeders and Youtube personalities. If you watch closely, you are very likely to see a few celebrities wandering among the crowd. People fly in from every state and the show becomes very much an enormous family reunion.
One unique aspect of the Tinley Park show is that if you fly in to see all the awesome animals and people, you don’t have to pass on buying that perfect specimen you’ve always wanted.
