Step 1 - Create an account
If you're shipping a live reptile or amphibian, you're at the correct site. If you're shipping other live beings, check out ShipYourAquatics, ShipYourInverts or ShipYourFlora.
At the upper right corner of every ShipYourReptiles page, click the "Register" link. Follow the directions.
Step 2 - Purchase your shipping kit
In the navigation links at the top of every ShipYourReptiles page, click the "Shipping Supplies" link.
Our shipping kits include everything you need to keep your pet safe. We suggest buying a kit with a Phase 24 Pack for extra protection. We ship your kit for free using ground service (5-7 business days). If you need your kit sooner, please contact us and we can arrange expedited shipping.
Which kit should you use?
Here's an easy way to determine which kit you can use.
Place your animal on an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of paper.
- If it fits on the full sheet, use Kit #2.
- If it won't fit on one sheet, but it fits on 2.5 sheets, use Kit #3.
- If if won't fit on 2.5 sheets, but it fits on 4 sheets, use Kit #4.
- Large monitors, boas over 6 feet and some tortoises over 20 pounds need Kit #5.
(If you're new to shipping live animals, do not use Kit #1. Heat packs can make the smaller box too hot and can endanger your animal.)
Step 3 - Book your shipment
Once you have your kit in hand, go to our site and click the "Book A Shipment" link at the top of the page.
We offer live shipping Monday through Wednesday to best ensure a smooth, safe shipment.
We suggest using UPS because all UPS facilities accept live shipments. Some FedEx facilities accept live shipments, but it's best to avoid any questions or stress. Bonus: There are more UPS facilities than FedEx facilities. If you want to use FedEx, contact us and we'll point you to the nearest FedEx facility.
Ship From:
Enter your home address.
If you are moving, we suggest using the address of a friend or relative in the area in case the box has to be returned for any reason.
Ship To:
Click "Ship To A UPS Facility" and choose one that's convenient.
Step 4 - Package your animal
Watch our handy video here.
Be sure to follow our temperature guidelines.
Step 5 - Drop off your package
Take it to the UPS facility you chose in the Ship To section.
If you want to use FedEx, contact us and we'll point you to a facility near you.
That's it! Track your shipment using the Track A Shipment button on our home page.

Check temperatures at the origin and destination cities. Proper packaging and appropriate temperatures are crucial. Use the Check Weather buttons on the Book A Shipment page. Temperature guidelines.
Only ship live animals Monday through Wednesday.
Do not contact FedEx or UPS. If you have a question or issue contact us and we'll take care of it using the systems we've devloped over the past 15 years. Contacting FedEx or UPS directly can cause an unnecessary delay, which creates more harm than good.
